Duplex Stainless Steel Check Valve
Duplex Stainless Steel Dual Plate Wafer Type Check Valve
The "Duplex stainless steels" are a family of stainless steels. These are called duplex (or austenitic-ferritic) grades because their metallurgical structure consists of two phases, austenite (face-centered cubic lattice) and ferrite (body centered cubic lattice) in roughly equal proportions.
Generally a small amount is not less than 30%. Due to the presence of ferrite and austenite in the duplex stainless steel. Therefore, it has the advantages of higher strength of ferritic stainless steel, resistance to chloride stress corrosion, and excellent toughness of austenitic stainless steel.
Duplex stainless steel is more resistant to corrosion than the most common stainless steel valves, CF8 and CF8M.
Duplex stainless steel valves are widely used in various industries such as chemical industry, seawater desalination, shipbuilding industry, petrochemical industry, oil and gas because of their extremely corrosion resistance and high strength.
