Butterfly valves for oil and gas
TVCCL Butterfly Valves are also widely used at onshore refineries processing terminals, where the critical nature of these process environments require repeatable tight shut off, long service life and low maintenance.

TVCCL butterfly valves stop, start and regulate flow. Simple to operate and quick to open, butterfly valves are generally equipped with a gearbox and a handwheel connected to the stem. Not only are they lightweight and easy to use, but cope admirably with high-pressure recovery and low-pressure drop.

TVCCL Butterfly Valves are also widely used at onshore refineries processing terminals, where the critical nature of these process environments require repeatable tight shut off, long service life and low maintenance.

TVCCL Butterfly Valves require specialized materials capable of handling aggressive media and withstanding the extreme demands of explosive environments and saline offshore conditions. Butterfly valves for oil and gas applications therefore need to be rugged, heavy-duty and fit for purpose.

Butterfly valves are easy and fast to open.
A 90° rotation of the handle provides a complete closure or opening of the valve. Large Butterfly valves are usually equipped with a so-called gearbox, where the hand wheel by gears is connected to the stem. This simplifies the operation of the valve, but at the expense of speed.

Butterfly valves are relatively inexpensive to build.
Butterfly valves require less material due to their design. The most economical is the wafer type that fits between two pipeline flanges. Another type, the lug wafer design, is held in place between two pipe flanges by bolts that join the two flanges and pass through holes in the valve's outer casing. Furthermore, common Butterfly Valves materials are often less expensive.
Butterfly valves have less space requirements.
This is due to their compact design which requires considerably less space, compared to other valves.

GATE VALVE for oil and gas

Gate valves are linear motion valves in which a flat closure element slides into the flow stream to provide shut-off. They are one of the most common valves used in many industrial applications including the oil and gas industry, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, automotive, and marine.

Gate valves are primarily designed to start or stop a flow when a straight line flow of fluid and minimum flow restriction are needed. In service, these valves are pretty much kept either fully open, or fully closed.
When turned open, the disc of the gate is completely removed allowing contents to pass. Although this gives the valve good shut-off properties and is bidirectional, they cannot be quickly opened or closed and are sensitive to vibration when open.

Globe valves for oil and gas

Globe valves are basically linear motion valves that are used to start, stop, and regulate flow. Conventionally used for isolation and throttling services With a good shut off ability.
