Valve Application For Oil And Gas

Oil and Gas

TVCCL Butterfly Valves, Gate Valves and Globe valves used extensively in the Oil & Gas market.
TVCCL Valves are specified and used throughout the design of oil and gas production facilities, both onshore and offshore, from the high pressure flowlines through to on-platform processing

Butterfly valves for oil and gas
TVCCL Butterfly Valves are also widely used at onshore refineries processing terminals, where the critical nature of these process environments require repeatable tight shut off, long service life and low maintenance.

TVCCL butterfly valves stop, start and regulate flow. Simple to operate and quick to open, butterfly valves are generally equipped with a gearbox and a handwheel connected to the stem. Not only are they lightweight and easy to use, but cope admirably with high-pressure recovery and low-pressure drop.

TVCCL Butterfly Valves are also widely used at onshore refineries processing terminals, where the critical nature of these process environments require repeatable tight shut off, long service life and low maintenance.

TVCCL Butterfly Valves require specialized materials capable of handling aggressive media and withstanding the extreme demands of explosive environments and saline offshore conditions. Butterfly valves for oil and gas applications therefore need to be rugged, heavy-duty and fit for purpose.

Butterfly valves are easy and fast to open.
A 90° rotation of the handle provides a complete closure or opening of the valve. Large Butterfly valves are usually equipped with a so-called gearbox, where the hand wheel by gears is connected to the stem. This simplifies the operation of the valve, but at the expense of speed.

Butterfly valves are relatively inexpensive to build.
Butterfly valves require less material due to their design. The most economical is the wafer type that fits between two pipeline flanges. Another type, the lug wafer design, is held in place between two pipe flanges by bolts that join the two flanges and pass through holes in the valve's outer casing. Furthermore, common Butterfly Valves materials are often less expensive.
Butterfly valves have less space requirements.
This is due to their compact design which requires considerably less space, compared to other valves.

GATE VALVE for oil and gas

Gate valves are linear motion valves in which a flat closure element slides into the flow stream to provide shut-off. They are one of the most common valves used in many industrial applications including the oil and gas industry, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, automotive, and marine.

• Good shut off features
• Gate valves are bidirectional and therefore they can be used in two directions
• Pressure loss through the valve is minimal

Gate valves are primarily designed to start or stop a flow when a straight line flow of fluid and minimum flow restriction are needed. In service, these valves are pretty much kept either fully open, or fully closed.
When turned open, the disc of the gate is completely removed allowing contents to pass. Although this gives the valve good shut-off properties and is bidirectional, they cannot be quickly opened or closed and are sensitive to vibration when open.

Globe valves for oil and gas
TVCCL Globe valves are used for transporting fuel oil and turbine lube oil systems, as well as in cooling water systems. Globe valves are basically linear motion valves that are used to start, stop, and regulate flow. Conventionally used for isolation and throttling services With a good shut off ability.
TVCCL Globe valves were traditionally used for throttling and isolation services. However, due to certain advantages like good shut off ability, and easy to machine valve seats, these valves have become popular.
TVCCL Global valves are used primarily for throttling purposes. They may be considered as general purpose flow control valves that are used for high-temperature applications.

• Globe valves throttling, the full-closing characteristic is good.
• The opening-closing time is shorter.
• Body ring seating surface process is easier.
• They can be used as stop-check valves.
• They contain positive shut-off

    Ball Valve

TVCCL ball valve is an extremely durable stop valve that is designed primarily for On/Off function. They provide tight shut-off and high capacity with just a quarter turn to operate. The position of the handle immediately indicates whether the valve is open or closed. In the open position there is virtually no obstruction to flow, and head loss through full bore ball valves is almost negligible. Along with being easy to monitor, ball valves have an advantage in that the seat performs a self-wiping action, preventing buildup of foreign particles within the valve. A ball valve is known for its durability, simplicity, and excellent sealing properties. They provide excellent shutoff even after years of service. This makes a ball valve an excellent choice as a shut off valve.

  • PFA Lined Stainless Steel Ball Valves - PFA Lined ball valve
PFA Lined Stainless Steel Ball Valves

PFA Lined Ball valves are commonly used in pulp and paper operations, Chlorine water, chlorine dioxide, sodium hypochlorite and sulphuric services. Ball valves are primarily used to shut off or turn on the media, as well as to regulate and control fluids. The ball valve's cut-off function is achieved by the ball being pressed against the valve seat under the action of the medium. The ball valve can be closed by rotating 90 degrees and it can stop the medium with a small rotating torque. Due to its versatility, ball valves are widely used in the chemical industry, petrochemical and other related industries. Our ball valves series with a wide range of options, sizes and materials, we offer flanged or threaded ends. For example, we offer bodies in bronze-ALBC3 (ASME B148 C95800) for seawater applications in demanding conditions. Some of our ball valves offer a fire safety (API 607) design. Valves for higher pressure ratings and temperatures are available upon request.
