The dual plate lug type check valve only takes 15-20 minute completely dissemble and reassemble or less.
In general, the flange holes of dual plate lug type check valves have tapping.
Lug type check valves are furnished with thru-hole bolting in accordance with ASME, JIS, ISO, MSS and AWWA…etc. Threaded bolt holes are available when specified.
A metal-to-metal leakage rate of 1cc/minute/inch diameter can be provided at no extra cost if specified with customer enquiry/order.
Note: API 598 specifies 3cc/minute/inch diameter with water.
Lug type valves are provided with threaded bolting holes in accordance with API 594.
Check valves, also known as non‐return, reflux or one‐way valves are automatic valve types that do not require any manual or electrical intervention to open and close.
Check valves are used to allow flow in one direction only and prevent the reversal of flow. They are also used to protect the system and it’s components from water hammer and pressure surges.

Dual Plate Check Valve Installation Guide:
When installing a check valve, it can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments. However, if the medium is corrosive or the surroundings are prone to rust, it is essential to select a valve material combination that matches the conditions to ensure durability and safety. For special operating conditions, it is recommended to consult TVCCL’s technical team for professional advice.
Before installation, all debris, oxidation scale, and solid impurities inside the pipeline should be thoroughly removed to prevent interference with the valve’s operation. During installation, the flow direction of the medium must align with the arrow marked on the valve body. The piping should be aligned at the front and rear centers, with flange interfaces kept parallel and bolts evenly tightened. Special attention should be paid to the distance between the check valve and the pump, which should be six to eight times the valve size to ensure stable system performance.
For routine maintenance, regular inspections should be conducted to check for leakage, abnormal noise, or vibration. In addition, the valve should be periodically examined for signs of corrosion, jamming, or other irregularities. Necessary cleaning, dust removal, and residue treatment should be performed to maintain proper equipment operation and extend its service life.

PRESSURE - TEMPERATURE RATING
The pressure-temperature rating table is an essential technical reference in the design and selection of industrial valves. It indicates the maximum allowable working pressure that a valve made from a specific material can withstand at various temperatures. According to the ASME B16.34 standard, this table is based on the mechanical properties and allowable stress of materials, listing pressure limits for different pressure classes (such as Class 150, 300, 600, etc.) at designated temperatures. These values are calculated by considering the reduction in material strength at elevated temperatures, ensuring that valves do not fail due to overpressure or overheating under actual operating conditions. When selecting a valve, users must first determine the operating temperature and then consult the table to verify whether the corresponding pressure class can safely handle the system pressure. The table also categorizes materials into groups—such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel—since each material behaves differently under high temperatures, and the allowable pressures vary accordingly. In summary, the pressure-temperature rating table is a fundamental tool for ensuring valve safety. For engineers, it serves not only as a design reference but also as a critical component of risk management.
